Monday evening I was listening to Marketplace and heard that the FDA would be holding a hearing to evaluate the labeling of allergens in foods. If you have severe food allergies, or have children with food allergies, you probably already know how unhelpful labels can sometimes be. If a food label says "packed in a facility that processes tree nuts" what are the real risks?
I am looking forward to reading about the results of that hearing (which was held on Tuesday). In the meantime, here are a few related links.
